This hand carved centerpiece fruit tray (or bread tray, if you wish) has the traditional leaves and grapes encircling the wide outer border. The tray top is mounted to a raised plinth base, making it a fabulous centerpiece for your fruit, for use on table or your kitchen bar or island. I like mine just leaned against the backsplash along with some of my blue and white ceramic serving pieces, grouped to show, but easy to grab and take to the table. Perfect, though, to use filled with fresh fruit, or to serve bread at your table! You'll find the best way to use this glorious one. The music box works automatically when you lift the bowl/tray, and shuts off automatically at the end of the tune. Lovely sound to the old music box, but I do not know the tune, sorry. 1900, these were souvenirs of the Grand Tour travelers, and we seem to sell as many as we can find (top quality, all). This one is particularly lovely with that carved outer border of grape vines, leaves and fruit.

No chips, no damage, and fresh and clean & waxed for use. Music box works perfectly and sounds beautiful even after all these years. This is an old one.
